The demands on our eyes have never been greater

Our eyes are adapting to a new era: constant phone use, endless screen time, and relying on GPS over traditional signs. As the way we use our eyes evolves, so should the way we care for them.

So you should demand more from your eye care

We’ve developed a comprehensive suite of advanced technologies and treatments designed to meet the evolving needs of modern eyes. This isn’t just about technical capabilities, it’s a commitment to placing eye health at the heart of overall well-being.

Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Eye exams can sometimes seem like a mere formality for obtaining glasses, but thorough care involves much more than just writing a prescription. Our exams are always comprehensive, with early detection and prevention at the forefront of our approach. Equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, our facilities can view and capture detailed images of your eyes from front to back—capabilities typically found only in hospital and surgical settings.

Our eye health can often signal early signs of systemic disease, yet it is frequently overlooked. With our extensive training and experience, combined with advanced diagnostic and imaging equipment, we identify, diagnose, and treat a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, providing comprehensive care that goes beyond routine examinations.

Imaging Technology
Advanced retinal imaging, slit-lamp camera, corneal topography, optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans, visual field, and infra-red meibography.

Dry Eye Treatment & Management

Every dry eye treatment we provide is rooted in the belief that every individual is unique and deserves to feel comfortable and confident.

With a dedication to personalised care, we go beyond standard treatments. Our expertise in managing dry eyes ensures that each plan is tailored to your specific needs, addressing both symptoms and underlying causes. From lifestyle adjustments to advanced therapies like Lumenis® Optilight IPL, our treatments are designed to provide lasting relief and enhanced eye health.

OCULUS Keratograph® 5M
This diagnostic tool utilises various advanced technologies to objectively assess dry eye disease in a single examination. Non-invasive tear break up-time (NIBUT), Tear Meniscus Height, Meibography, Bulbar and Limbal Redness Evaluation (R-scan). This comprehensive approach provides valuable information for our optometrists to diagnose and classify dry eye for proper treatment.

ZEST Eyelid & Eyelash Deep Cleaning developed by Zocular®
ZEST is an in-office deep cleaning procedure that uses a natural okra-based gel to thoroughly cleanse the eyelids, addressing dry eye symptoms caused by demodex mites and blepharitis. This painless treatment exfoliates the eyelids, opens up meibomian glands, and provides immediate relief from irritation, promoting healthy tear production. Regular home care is recommended to maintain eye hygiene and prevent further issues.

Lumenis® Optilight IPL
OptiLight employs advanced IPL technology to target the underlying root causes of dry eye syndrome. IPL technology gently delivers pulses of light around the eyelids to reduce inflammation, unclog the eyelid meibomian glands, enhances the function of the meibomian glands, and increase overall tear production. The result is brighter, fresher, more lubricated eyes, along with reduced redness and discoloration. We are proud to be the first Lumenis® OptiLight practitioners in Hawthorn.

Blephasteam®
Blephasteam® therapy provides effective relief for dry eye disease caused by meibomian gland dysfunction through the controlled application of moist heat. This gentle treatment softens blockages in the meibomian glands, enhances hydration, and improves blood flow around the eyelids, promoting healthy oil production and tear film stability. By preparing the glands for manual expression, Blephasteam® optimises the effectiveness of complementary treatments like meibomian gland expression or IPL.

Meibomian Gland Expression
This hands-on treatment involves the gentle application of pressure to express blocked oil glands in the eyelids. By clearing obstructions and restoring proper gland function, meibomian gland expression improves tear stability and reduces symptoms of dry eyes. It is often combined with other therapies, such as Blephasteam® or IPL, for optimal results.

Contact Lens & Specialty Fits

Our providers work with every client to evaluate the full range of contact lens options available to identify the most suitable options for your vision needs.

Soft Contact Lenses
Soft contact lenses are the most common type of contact lens. They are made from a flexible silicone hydrogel, which allows the lens to form to the cornea’s shape. These contact lenses are the easiest to adjust to for new wearers. Most soft contact lenses are disposable. We recommend 1-day disposable contact lenses because they are the healthiest and the most convenient option. We do prescribe other modalities if patient’s prescriptions are outside of the 1-day disposable contact lens range. These lenses are worn during the day, removed before sleep, and discarded after each day’s use.

As a preferred provider partnering with Johnson & Johnson Acuvue, we offer exclusive promotional rebates to help reduce the cost of contact lens supplies for our clients.

Mini-Scleral and Scleral Lenses
These specialised lenses vault over the cornea, providing a smooth optical surface while creating a tear-filled reservoir that keeps your eyes hydrated. Perfect for those with conditions such as dry eye syndrome, keratoconus, irregular astigmatism, or post-surgical complications, these lenses enhance comfort and visual clarity, allowing you to enjoy everyday activities with ease.

Speciality Fits
Astigmatism (toric) contact lenses, monovision contact lenses, multifocal contact lenses, and colored contact lenses.

Ophthalmologist Co-management

We collaborate closely with our preferred local ophthalmologists to provide co-management services for conditions requiring specialised care. Autologous Serum Eye Drops
Autologous serum eye drops, made from a patient's own blood, provide relief for severe dry eyes by delivering essential nutrients that promote healing. This personalised treatment is ideal for those not responding to traditional therapies.

Co-management Services
Pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, pre- and post-operative care for refractive laser correction surgery, glaucoma treatment, and retinal conditions (such as macular degeneration).

Pre-LASIK and Pre-Cataract Treatment Packages

We've developed specialised treatment packages in collaboration with our network of ophthalmologists for patients preparing for LASIK, cataract, or corneal surgery. These packages focus on deep cleaning and short-term dry eye management to help optimise eye health and improve eligibility and outcomes for surgery. Multiple sessions may be necessary depending on the severity of the patient’s dry eyes.

Ocular & Facial Aesthetics

We are excited to introduce IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy for facial rejuvenation at our clinic. This advanced treatment targets skin concerns such as pigmentation, sun damage, redness, and uneven texture by delivering gentle pulses of light to the skin. IPL stimulates collagen production, leading to smoother, more youthful-looking skin with minimal downtime. Whether you're looking to address signs of aging or improve overall skin clarity, our IPL facial treatments offer a safe and effective solution for achieving radiant, healthy skin.

Ocular and Facial Rosacea Treatment
IPL therapy is an excellent solution for treating both ocular and facial rosacea by targeting the blood vessels responsible for redness and inflammation. The light pulses are absorbed by haemoglobin, reducing visible blood vessels and soothing the skin. For ocular rosacea, IPL also addresses abnormal blood flow around the eyes, helping to alleviate dryness and irritation. This treatment not only enhances skin tone but also provides relief from the discomfort caused by rosacea flare-ups, offering a comprehensive approach to managing the condition.

Full Face and Spot Treatment
IPL therapy offers the flexibility to target both full face and specific spot treatments, making it ideal for addressing a wide range of skin concerns. For full-face treatments, IPL helps rejuvenate the skin by improving overall texture, reducing pigmentation, and boosting collagen production for a more youthful appearance. In spot treatments, IPL precisely targets problem areas like sun spots, redness, or small capillaries, delivering focused results without affecting the surrounding skin. This versatility allows us to customize the treatment to your specific needs, whether you want a comprehensive facial refresh or targeted corrections.
